Fin Strap & Buckles (Complete Pair)

Description

A snapped fin strap is the commonest fin failure and the cheapest to put right, and it almost always happens on the beach rather than in the water. This is the replacement set for both fins, supplied as a pair with the buckles already fitted, for open heel fins mounted on 20 mm mushroom knobs. Vulcanised rubber is the material that matters. It holds its elasticity through repeated stretching and through the ultraviolet a fin absorbs sitting on a boat deck between dives, which is why a rubber strap outlives the moulded thermoplastic alternative. Each strap carries a quick-release buckle at both ends and a moulded heel pad in the centre, and the buckles release under thumb pressure so a fin comes off in gloves at the ladder. It suits any open heel fin on a 20 mm knob.
