Hose Protector Installation Tool

Description

Sliding a rubber hose protector over a regulator hose fitting is a stubborn job by hand, and this tool is made to make it easier. It is a T-handle tool that comes with two threaded adaptors, one for standard 3/8 inch low-pressure hose fittings and one for standard 7/16 inch high-pressure hose fittings. The adaptors thread onto the hose fitting so the protector can be slid into place with far less effort than pushing it on by hand. A useful tip for the easiest fitting is to soak the protector in hot water first, which makes the material pliable and lets it slide along the tool. It suits a diver or kit owner fitting new hose protectors or replacing worn ones, and it is a small item to keep with the regulator spares.
