Aqualung Impulse Dry Snorkel

Description

Most dry snorkels close a valve after water has already started coming in. The Impulse Dry valve faces forward instead, so it closes faster as the wave arrives, which is the difference between a snorkel that has to be cleared and one that does not. Aqua Lung validated the barrel and valve design through ANSTI testing rather than by assertion, which is unusual on a snorkel and worth knowing. Below the valve a self-draining purge lets the snorkel be switched back from scuba to surface use without taking on water. A push-button two-piece connector attaches and removes it from a mask strap in seconds, so it goes on for a surface swim and comes off for a dive instead of dangling. The patented Comfo-Bite mouthpiece does not need to be clenched, which removes jaw fatigue over hours. It suits a diver or snorkeller who wants a dry snorkel that genuinely stays dry.
