Kinzi Snap Hook with Eye

Description

This snap hook has a fixed eye at one end and a spring-loaded gate at the other, and it is used to clip a line, strap, lanyard or fitting quickly and securely. It is forged in AISI 316 stainless steel, and the surface is electro polished for a bright, smooth finish that resists corrosion in salt water. Six sizes are offered, from 5 mm to 12 mm, so it can be matched to a light lanyard or a heavier mooring line. The size is the diameter of the stainless steel stock used to make the hook. The standard safety factor is a working load of one quarter of the breaking load. The breaking load of each size is not listed in the supplier data, so confirm it before use for any load that matters. Snap hooks of this kind are often used on boats, awnings, covers, fenders and tie-downs. It suits a boat owner who wants a corrosion resistant clip that opens and closes in one hand.
