Mares XR SMB 180cm

Description

A boat skipper can only pick up a diver they can see, and on a drift dive or a technical ascent with long deco stops that means a tall, well-inflated SMB. The Mares XR SMB stands 1.8 m long and 15 cm wide with 12 kg of lift, and it is double welded and stitched. The base is closed so air does not escape once the buoy is up, an overpressure valve vents excess gas, and a non-return valve takes a low pressure inflator hose or oral inflation for a full fill. A clear window at the top takes a written message from wet notes or a chemical light, and a SOLAS reflective stripe shows up in a searchlight. A stainless steel D-ring with elastic handles the line, and deflated it folds into a pocket. Orange is the standard colour and yellow is the emergency colour. It suits a technical or drift diver who deploys a buoy from depth.
