SCUBAPRO Neoprene Beanie 2mm Grey

Description

Neoprene works where a fleece beanie does not, because it blocks the wind rather than only trapping air, and it keeps working once it has been splashed on the way back in. That is what makes this the hat for a surface interval in a wind on a ski boat off the Cape. It is a 2 mm X-Foam neoprene beanie in grey, worn before and after a dive to protect the head and ears from cold air and brisk wind, which is what chills a diver between dives. The outside carries a two-tone stretch finish and the inside is lined with stretch plush. Two sizes are stocked, S/M and L/XL, in grey only. It is a surface hat and not a dive hood: it is not cut to seal at the face, not made to sit under a mask strap, and gives no thermal protection at depth. Head cover in the water means a hood or a hooded vest from the wetsuit range. It suits a diver on a cold, windy boat deck.
