Description

An open heel fin normally means wearing a boot, and a full-foot fin normally means no adjustment at all. The Storm sits between the two: it is a barefoot open heel design, so the bungee strap adjusts to the foot while no bootie is needed in warm water. Like the rest of the family it is moulded from a single TPV compound with no bonded joint to delaminate, and the foot pocket is shaped to prevent the fatigue that comes from a pocket letting the foot move about. The silicone bungee strap carries a heel pad and goes on and off without a buckle. An access hole in the blade takes a clip for carrying and storage, and the size is colour-coded on the bungee protector and blade insert, which settles arguments on a boat full of identical fins. It suits a warm-water diver or snorkeller who wants adjustment without wearing a boot.
