Description

Taking a bearing on a headland or a buoy is quicker and more accurate with a sighting compass than with a baseplate model held at arm's length. The KB-20 is a light hand-bearing compass with a sighting tool for precise direction taking, and it is made for marine, professional and outdoor use. The capsule is liquid filled with a sapphire bearing, which settles the card fast and keeps it steady on a moving deck, and the whole compass floats if it goes over the side. An adjustable diopter suits different eyesight. The card reads in 1 degree steps with an accuracy of 0.5 degrees, and the scale also shows a reversed reading for taking a back bearing. The housing is plastic with an acrylic window, which keeps the weight to 36 g, and a lanyard keeps it on the wrist. It measures 78 x 57 x 20 mm. It suits boaters, kayakers and field users, and it is made in Finland with a two-year warranty.
