Description

Moulding the natural rubber in a density gradient means the foot pocket can stay soft while the blade stays stiff, instead of the whole fin settling on a compromise between the two. That single manufacturing idea is what this fin is built around. Vents let water flow along the blade, cutting drag and fatigue on the recovery stroke, while stiffening rails and ribs keep it driving rather than folding, so effort at the hip comes back as thrust. The blade is wider than a classic technical fin, buying manoeuvrability without losing power, and buoyancy is deliberately slightly negative, which helps trim for anyone diving a drysuit with heavy boots. Back kicks and helicopter turns are considerably less tiring than on a solid paddle. Sizing spans Medium through 2X Large in Grey, Black, Aqua and Blue, all supplied with stainless spring straps fitted. They take a dive boot such as the Pelagic or Amphibian. It suits a technical diver, and recreational divers too.
