Cressi Torpedo Buoy

Description

Wind is what makes a marker float hard work, dragging it away from the diver and the diver after it. The Torpedo is elongated specifically to present very little to the wind, which is why it stays where it is put. It is made from strong heat-sealed PVC with two separate inner air chambers, top and bottom, so a failure in one does not sink the float. The lower chamber can also be filled with water instead of air to provide ballast, which steadies it in chop rather than letting it skate across the surface. One end carries a double anchoring system for the flag pole and the other has an anchor point for the line on its lower half. Six strong loops fixed at both ends of the lower half take accessories or spare poles. It is finished in orange. That answers a spearfishing swim, a freediving line and a shore session in wind. It suits a spearfisher or freediver working in wind and chop.
