Description

Blue for fluorescence is stepped rather than fixed here, running 80, 40 and 20 lumens across three levels, which matters because too much blue on a close subject washes out the very glow it is meant to reveal. The rest is the VTL4200P: a 120 degree wide beam for video, a 1300 lumen 10 degree narrow beam for penetration, and two XPE red LEDs for approaching animals white light would scatter, from seven XML LEDs at 6500K cool white. Burn times run 1 hour 30 at full output, then 3, 6 and 15 hours, from a 32650 cell. It weighs 432 grams with the cell fitted, sits 205 grams negative, and measures 55.5 mm across and 140.6 millimetres long, tested to 100 metres, in black. A Goodman glove and removable yellow filter ship in the box. It suits a diver shooting fluorescence who wants control over the blue.
