XDEEP DIR Harness

Description

Every buckle in a shoulder strap is a component that can slip, corrode or open, and every adjuster is a setting that creeps a few millimetres a dive until the rig no longer sits where it was set. A one-piece harness has neither. This one is a single continuous length of stiff polyamide webbing threaded through the plate, set once to the diver and then left alone, which is why it has been the technical standard for decades. Five welded and polished 6 mm stainless steel D-rings and a crotch strap come with it. Stiff webbing matters as much as the layout: soft webbing collapses and lets the plate wander, while stiff webbing holds the shoulders open enough to find a D-ring in gloves. It is supplied without a backplate and fits any plate with standard 50 mm slots. It suits a diver building a DIR rig or replacing tired webbing.
