AQUANAUT MASK BLACK

The Fourth Element Aquanaut is a low-volume freediving mask, and the silicone skirt was redrawn to fit as many face shapes as possible from a single mould. That is the harder engineering problem in a mask, and it is why one Aquanaut replaces a wall of fit options.

Low volume means less air to equalise on the way down, which is the whole point of a freediving mask. Despite the compact size, the field of view is wider than the category usually offers, so it works as a general-purpose mask as well as a freediving one. It ships with a moulded silicone strap that swaps directly for the Fourth Element recycled mask strap, sold separately. The packaging contains no plastic at all.

The result is one mask covering a freedive session, a snorkel and a scuba dive. Fewer equalisations on descent means less effort spent on the mask and more attention on the dive itself, which counts for most on a deep line.

Supplied in black with a Contrast lens. The white-skirted Aquanaut is the sibling colourway. The Navigator, Seeker and Scout are the scuba masks in the range. Fourth Element publish no weight for it, and no corrective lens option is listed.
