Aqualung Beachwalker Kids

Description

Children explore rock pools barefoot until the first sea urchin or broken shell, after which they will not go back in. A water shoe is the cheapest way to keep a child in the water, and it works because it is comfortable enough to be worn without argument. This is the junior Beachwalker, built to the same idea as the adult version: a neoprene and mesh upper that protects and drains rather than holding water, and a rubber outsole that grips wet rock, a slipway and a pool surround where a bare foot slips. A soft footbed makes it wearable all day rather than for the walk alone. It is a beach and snorkelling shoe rather than a fin boot, so it is not shaped to go inside a fin pocket. That answers a rock pool, a beach holiday, and a swimming pool with a hot deck. It suits a child who explores in the shallows.
