This introductory scuba diving experience allows you to breathe underwater, move weightlessly and understand why divers return to the ocean again and again.

Prepare Before Your First Dive

Your journey begins before you even step into the water. You will complete easy-to-understand online learning designed for beginners. This covers the basics of scuba diving, including equipment, breathing techniques, hand signals and essential safety. Completing this knowledge session ensures you arrive at your confined water scuba dive prepared, confident and ready to enjoy your first experience.

Confined Water Diving Experience

Once ready, you will gear up and enter a calm, controlled confined water environment, allowing you to focus purely on your first underwater experience, free from environmental distractions. Under the close supervision of your PADI instructor, you will practice essential skills, learn to breathe comfortably, equalise gently, and move with control. Depth is limited, conditions are calm, and your instructor is always nearby. Confidence builds quickly as you realise just how natural scuba diving can feel.

Your Discover Scuba Diving experience begins with pre-dive online learning, giving you the knowledge and confidence needed for your session. You will then enter confined water, where your PADI professional guides you through simple skills and a relaxed first dive. Focus is on breathing, balance and comfort, not depth or performance. This is not about how deep you go. It is about discovering what lies beneath the surface  and within yourself.
