This introductory experience is perfect for anyone curious about scuba diving but not yet ready to commit to a full course. You will start with easy-to-follow online learning at your own pace, covering the basics of scuba equipment, safety and what to expect in the water. Then, guided by one of our professional instructors, you’ll take your first breaths underwater in our comfortable indoor heated pool. This safe, controlled environment is perfect for getting a feel for scuba diving, learning basic skills and enjoying the thrill of breathing underwater for the first time.
If you decide to continue your diving journey, completing the Discover Scuba Diving program means you’ve already completed the first pool session of the PADI Open Water Diver course, giving you a head start on the full certification.
It’s a fun, relaxed way to explore the underwater world and decide if diving is the adventure you want to pursue further.
What You Can Do With This Experience
Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory experience and does not result in certification by itself. However, it provides valuable experience and confidence underwater and counts as the first confined water session towards your PADI Open Water course should you choose to continue.
You can enjoy a safe, supervised underwater experience and get a real sense of what scuba diving feels like before making any commitments.

What It Entails
Begin your journey with engaging online material that introduces you to the essentials of scuba diving, equipment familiarisation and safety procedures. This flexible eLearning allows you to prepare confidently at your own pace.
Once ready, you’ll move to a hands-on practical session in our warm, indoor heated pool. Here, under expert guidance, you will learn to use the scuba equipment, practice breathing underwater, and experience the sensation of diving in a safe and supportive environment.
This complete, pool-based experience is designed to be accessible, fun and an ideal introduction to the underwater world.

Is the scuba gear you sell covered by a warranty?
Yes, all the scuba gear we sell is covered by the manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty period varies depending on the brand and product. If you experience a warranty issue, please contact our customer support team with your order number, details of the issue and any supporting photos or videos. We will then guide you through the warranty claim process.
What is your return and exchange policy if something doesn't fit?
We want you to love your gear! If something isn't right, please visit our Returns & Exchanges page for detailed instructions on how to return or exchange items within 7 days. Please note that items must be unused and in their original condition. Certain products may not be eligible for return due to hygiene reasons. Check our policy for specifics!
What are your shipping costs and delivery times within South Africa?
We offer straightforward shipping within South Africa. For all orders under R1000, a flat rate of R150 will be applied. The good news is that shipping is free for all orders of R1000 or more! For major cities, we aim for delivery within 2-3 business days after your order has been processed and shipped. Please note that outlying areas may take slightly longer.
