Changing the liner changes the warmth, which means one pair covers a range of conditions that would otherwise take two or three wet gloves in different thicknesses. It fits to a compatible ring or seal system at the drysuit wrist, and it does nothing on a wetsuit. Sizing should account for the liner, since a glove fitted bare-handed turns tight once one goes in.
