Description

Running a reel, holding a line and reading a gauge all want two hands, which is exactly when a handheld torch becomes the obstacle. This head light frees both, and it carries two beams rather than one: a 120 degree wide flood for general work and a 500 lumen 10 degree spot for looking down a passage, from five Cree LEDs at 6500K cool white. Four levels give 1000 lumens for 2 hours, 500 for 4, 250 for 8 and 100 for 20, from a rechargeable 18650 cell. It weighs 207 grams with the cell fitted and sits 76 grams negative, on a body of polycarbonate with an aluminium alloy light head, tested to 100 metres. A head strap ships in the box. That answers a cave, a wreck survey and any dive where the hands are committed. It suits a diver who needs both hands and both beam widths.
