At 3.6V and 18WH capacity, it packs meaningfully more runtime than a standard 18650, which matters most on the second dive of the day when a depleted battery has already forced you onto a backup light once.
A full charge takes roughly 4 hours 30 minutes, and built-in overcharge and over-discharge protection circuits guard against the two failure modes that shorten a Li-ion cell's working life.
