21700 USB-C Battery 5000mAh

Description

A torch with a proprietary charger is one lost cable away from being a paperweight. This 21700 builds the USB-C port into the cell itself, so a standard phone cable is the entire charging kit and the light needs no cradle at all. Capacity is 5000 milliamp-hours at a nominal 3.6 volts, or 18 watt-hours, with a full charge taking about 4 hours 30. An overcharge and over-discharge protection circuit is built in, which is what stops a high-drain dive light pulling the cell below a safe voltage on a long burn. It fits the OrcaTorch D700, D710, DC710, D720, ZD710 MK2 and D710V MK2, and it is the same cell that ships inside the D710 and ZD710 MK2, so a spare is a direct swap rather than a compromise. Non-rechargeable and unprotected lithium cells of the same size should not be substituted. It suits a diver carrying a spare cell for a two-dive day.
