D950V Video Light

The OrcaTorch D950V 2.0 puts 10,500 lumens behind a lens designed to bring back what depth strips away: the reds and oranges that vanish within a few metres of the surface, restored in full for anyone shooting stills or video.

A COB (chip-on-board) LED drives that output through a spherical toughened glass lens, engineered specifically for even coverage across a 120-degree beam rather than a hotspot fading to shadow at the edges. CRI 92 sits behind the brightness figure as the number that actually matters for photography: colour rendered close to natural sunlight, so reef life and buddy shots come out true to colour rather than the flat blue-green cast unlit footage tends toward.

Control runs through a magnetic tail switch, cycling between four brightness modes, Low, Middle, High, and Turbo, so output can be matched to the shot rather than blasting full power at close range. A tail-mounted LED indicator tracks battery level in real time, dropping through 75%, 50%, 25%, and a flashing warning below 10%, useful information when you're mid-shoot and don't want a light dying between takes.

The built-in battery pack charges via a magnetic tail port in around 3 hours and can even be removed and used as a standalone power bank, a small but genuinely useful bit of cross-purpose design. Runtime stretches up to 10 hours on the low setting, and the housing is depth-rated to 150 metres, built from A6061 aluminium with a Mil-Spec hard-anodised finish. A 25.4mm ball joint and Goodman-grip-compatible mount round out the physical setup for divers building a full camera rig.

For underwater photographers running two powerful lights instead of juggling lights and strobes separately, the D950V is built to be one of that pair.
