Description

Wide-angle video at depth fails for one reason above all others: not enough light reaching the edges of the frame once daylight has gone red. The D950V 2.0 answers it with 10500 lumens across a 120 degree beam, thrown by a Cree chip-on-board LED behind a spherical toughened glass lens so there is no hot centre to burn out the middle of a shot. Colour temperature is 5700K at a colour rendering index of 92, which keeps reef colour honest. Four levels give 10500 lumens for 1 hour 12, 6200 for 2 hours 30, 3000 for 4 hours 10 and 1100 for 10 hours 20. The pack is built in but replaceable and charges through a magnetic tail port in 3 hours 10, with a tail LED reading remaining charge. That magnetic port removes the one contact a video light usually floods through. It is 255 millimetres long at 1065 grams, 495 in water, rated to 150 metres. It suits a videographer lighting a wide frame at depth.
