Description

Reef colour goes flat and grey on camera when the light source has a poor colour rendering index, and no amount of grading in post fully recovers it. The D910V runs at a colour rendering index of 92 and a colour temperature of 5700K, close enough to daylight that footage needs little correction, which is what the specification is for. Output is 5000 lumens across a 120 degree beam, giving even light over a wide frame rather than a hot centre, with three levels running 5000 lumens for 50 minutes, 2000 for 2 hours 10 and 500 for 8 hours 50. The 12.6 volt pack carries 38 watt-hours across three 18650 cells and charges magnetically in 2 hours 30. The wide spread also suits commercial work, fitting most full-face mask brackets and lighting a cave passage rather than a single point in it. It weighs 430 grams, or 215 in water, rated to 150 metres. It suits a diver filming wide where colour accuracy matters.
