PRES GAUGE & COMPASS

The Apeks pressure gauge and compass console puts a submersible pressure gauge and a compass in a single boot on one high-pressure hose, so gas and heading are read in the same movement.

A console is a trade. It puts two instruments where one hand can find them, at the cost of a longer hose and a larger object to keep clipped off. Left dangling it is an entanglement risk and a reliable way to break coral; clipped properly it is neither.

A mechanical gauge alongside a computer is worth having for the same reason a mechanical compass is: it needs no battery and no firmware. Console assembly on a high pressure hose; the first stage is not included.
