Description

A jacket that inflates around the waist squeezes the chest at exactly the moment a diver wants to breathe easily. The Scorpion moves all of it behind: a back-mounted air cell puts the lift where it does not touch the torso, leaving the shoulders and waist free and the range of movement natural. Compression bungee straps around the cell pull it flat as air is dumped, so it deflates quickly and stays streamlined rather than flapping. The semi-rigid back plate is ultralight and folds for transport, and the inside is lined with Cressi's Air-Net, which is soft, quick draining and neutrally buoyant. Fit is tuned by adjustable side lumbar pads and a waist tension system that tucks the jacket in when the straps are pulled forward, with quick-release shoulder buckles for getting out of it. Flat Lock Aid weight pockets sit vertically at the back of the harness, reachable from any angle. It suits a diver who wants high lift without bulk around the body.
