WeeFine WFA61 Snoot Lens for Smart Focus FR

Description

Lighting only the subject and leaving the background black is one of the most striking looks in macro photography, but it needs a tightly controlled beam. The WFA61 is an optical snoot lens that screws onto the front of the Smart Focus 1000FR or 1200FR on an M27 thread, focusing the light into a narrow spot of about 20 to 25 degrees. Because it uses a lens rather than a plain tube, the spot stays defined at working distance. On a macro dive it isolates a small subject against a dark background, on a night dive it picks out one detail without lighting the particles around it, and in a creative session it adds a spotlight effect to otherwise flat scenes. Aiming a snoot takes practice, and its narrow beam suits stills and short clips rather than general video. It suits a macro photographer with a Smart Focus FR light.
