Description

Deploying a delayed surface marker is a task divers practise until it is automatic, and then a reel with an awkward handle or a fixed handedness undoes all of it. The Lifeline Ascend was built around that moment. An integrated attachment point holds the Apeks surface marker buoy, so the buoy and the reel travel together and deploy as one rather than being fished out of two pockets. On a decompression stop the high grip rubber handle works in thick gloves. On a rig set up for a left handed diver the whole configuration changes over without tools. On a dark or silty ascent the high visibility line is still findable. Thirty metres suits most recreational and shallow technical profiles. Forged anodised aluminium components carry a lifetime warranty excluding the line. It suits a diver who deploys a buoy on every dive.
