Description

The Samurai has been a spearfishing staple for years, and the Samurai X reworks it with less volume, a lighter frame and a finish that does not flash in the sun. Internal volume is under 80 cubic centimetres, and the lenses sit closer to the eyes than on the original, which keeps equalisation small and the field of view wide. The buckles attach directly to the skirt, and the ergonomic strap holds the mask steady for hours. The whole mask weighs 140 g. On a long spearfishing session its matte, anti-reflective frame avoids glinting in shallow water. On a freediving course the low volume makes clearing and equalising simpler to learn. On a snorkelling trip it packs small and light. The compact structure of lenses and skirt is also hard-wearing.
