Fourth Element Men's RF Vest

Description

Most hoods trap air against the ear and slow equalisation. The ear holes here let a small volume through, so the ears clear at the rate a freediving descent actually demands, and that is what separates this from a generic hooded vest. It adds a 3mm hood and a further 3mm over the body core, taking an RF1 torso to 6mm and covering the head for the first time, which is what moves a warm-water freediving suit into cooler conditions without buying a second one. Longer sessions become viable because the head, which loses heat faster than anywhere else, is finally covered. It pulls on over the suit rather than under it, so shoulder mobility is unaffected. The outer face is Glideskin, cutting drag through the water and shedding surface film rather than soaking it up. Sizing spans X Small through 3X Large, black throughout. It is built around the RF1 men's suit and the RF2 two-piece. It suits a freediver extending an RF1 into cooler water.
