Suunto Ocean

Description

Most dive computers stop being useful the moment the kit comes off. The Ocean keeps going, with wrist heart rate, blood oxygen, GPS and full swimming metrics including stroke type, stroke rate and SWOLF, on a 466 by 466 touch AMOLED behind sapphire crystal. Under water it is a proper computer: rated to 60 m, air and nitrox on up to five gases, adjustable gradient factors, wireless air integration through a Tank POD, and a compass accurate to 5 degrees that works during the dive rather than only at the surface. Freedive mode reads to the same 60 m. At 99 g on a 22 mm strap it fits wrists from 130 to 215 mm and passes as an ordinary watch in an office, while a button lock keeps the touch screen honest in gloves. It suits a diver who swims or trains between trips and wants one device for all of it.
