Apeks RK3 Fins

Description

The RK3 blade has been standard issue to military, special operations, coast guard and public safety divers for decades, which is a longer trial than any marketing claim. The blade is short and wide, so it delivers thrust while still turning a diver on the spot. Vents cut resistance on the upstroke and add thrust on the downstroke, and they break up the vortex that forms behind a solid blade. On a wreck or cave dive that manoeuvrability is what keeps silt on the floor. On a shore dive two large grommet holes take a carabiner so the fins clip to a rig for the walk. On a cold water dive stainless spring straps go on over a thick boot without adjustment. Neutrally buoyant in fresh water, 1.19kg in size large. Apeks deliberately publish no shoe size range, because boot type changes the fit. It suits a technical or recreational diver.
