Description

Spools get dropped, and a spool that unwinds itself on the way down turns a routine deployment into a mess. The Lifeline design fights that with flared sides and a rubber outer grip, so it stays in the hand even in thick wet or dry gloves. This is the 45m version, colour coded blue so the right one is picked out of a pocket by sight rather than by unwinding it. On a decompression stop the large shaped centre hole gives a gloved finger something to hold. On a tie off the high tensile leader takes the abrasion instead of the main line. On a drift the swivel stops the line twisting as the buoy turns. It is machined from one piece of aircraft grade aluminium, the line is sewn rather than tied, and the spool is not over-wound so more line can be added. It suits a diver matching spool length to the depths actually dived.
