SPOOL KIT 45 MTR
The Apeks Lifeline spool kit with 45 metres of line is colour-coded blue. The spool is anodised T6061 aluminium alloy, loaded with high-visibility orange polyester line, with a Dyneema leader, a pull tab and a nickel-plated brass swivel.
Forty-five metres suits deeper recreational and light technical diving, where a buoy may need to go up from beyond thirty metres. Colour-coding the spools by length is the practical part: a diver reaching for a spool in poor visibility knows which one they have by feel and by colour rather than by unwinding it.
The brass swivel prevents the line twisting as the buoy ascends.
