Free Divers Ranger Elite Speargun

Description

Bigger reef fish and deep-water species call for a heavier band, and the Free Divers Ranger Elite answers with a single 20mm band driving a 7mm single notch spear. A deep rail guides the shaft, and the frictionless stainless steel trigger releases cleanly and silently. Over a deep pinnacle, the longer barrels reach a fish sitting off the bottom. In broken reef with poor visibility, a 70 or 80cm gun keeps the length manageable among the ledges. For a diver who spends long days in the water, the carbon fibre barrel is lighter and stiffer than aluminium, which Free Divers specify for less arm fatigue and less flex in the shot. Aluminium versions run from 70 to 130cm and carbon from 80 to 120cm, all rigged with a DIY wishbone, tuna clip and muzzle boingi. It suits an advanced spearfisher hunting larger reef and pelagic fish with one powerful band.
