Description

Most divers end up owning two wrist devices, a smartwatch for the week and a dive computer for the weekend, and the Fenix 8 AMOLED folds both into one. Its single-gas scuba mode and apnea mode run to 40 m on Bühlmann ZHL-16c with gradient factors, on air or nitrox up to 40% oxygen. A recreational diver on a Sodwana weekend logs four dives and the surface intervals without swapping kit, and entry and exit points save to the Garmin Dive app for the logbook. A spearfisher working a reef on a breath-hold gets the apnea screens on the same watch used for the morning run. Back on land, the LED torch, preloaded maps on sapphire editions and up to 29 days of battery on the 51 mm cover a week away. Alerts underwater are vibration only and there is no air integration or gas switching, so technical divers belong on a Descent.
