LIFELINE ASCEND REEL 60M
The Apeks Lifeline Ascend Reel in the 60 metre version carries twice the line of the 30 metre reel on the same impact-resistant Delrin 100P acetal body and spool, with 1.6mm round braided polyester line.
Sixty metres covers deployment from technical depths and from decompression stops, where the diver is committed to the water column for a set time and the buoy has to be up before the boat starts looking. Deploying an SMB from depth is a skill worth practising shallow before it is needed deep, because a line that snags on a diver rather than paying out cleanly turns a routine ascent into a fast one.
