AS01 Arm Strap

Description

A helmet or rail mount fixes a light rigidly, which is right for survey work and wrong for a diver who wants the beam to follow the arm. An arm strap sits between the two: the AS01 holds a large torch against the forearm on a thickened canvas band, so the light points roughly where the arm does and stays clear when it does not. It takes bodies from 30 to 40 millimetres, covering the OrcaTorch D510, D800 and D810, in one size closing with hook-and-loop over a wetsuit sleeve or drysuit cuff and releasing with a gloved hand. The canvas is thick enough to stop the torch rolling and dries quickly rather than sitting damp in a bag. It works on either arm, which matters for a diver who runs a reel with a fixed hand. It suits a diver wanting a large torch carried rather than gripped.
