Wrist Strap (AS01)

The OrcaTorch AS01 arm strap does the same job as its smaller sibling, the WS01, but built for a bigger class of torch. It's the mount for divers running larger-diameter lights who still want a hand free for a camera, a line, or their buddy.

Where the WS01 tops out at 28mm, the AS01 is sized for flashlight diameters between 30mm and 40mm, purpose-built for the D510, D800, and D810. That size difference isn't incidental: strap width and tension are engineered around the barrel diameter, so cross-shopping between the two ranges leaves you with either a strap that won't close or one that slips.

Construction follows the same formula that's made the WS01 reliable: thickened but soft canvas, a hook-and-loop closure that works over bare skin or a dive glove, and quick-dry material that won't sit damp in your kit bag between trips. It's ambidextrous, so left- or right-hand use is a non-issue.

As with the WS01, OrcaTorch's own guidance is worth repeating here: pair the arm strap with a lanyard. The strap secures the light to your hand; the lanyard is the backup that stops it disappearing if the strap ever comes loose.
