Description

A spot beam signals and a flood films, and until now that meant two torches on the harness. The ZD710 MK2 moves steplessly from 4 to 72 degrees on a zoom ring that shifts the LED against the optic rather than switching between fixed reflectors, so one light does both without anything being swapped underwater. At 4 degrees it measures 212,500 candela and carries 920 metres on land. Four levels give turbo 1500 lumens, high 880 for 2 hours 10, medium 420 for 3 hours 15 and low 150 for 12 hours, from one 21700 cell of 5000 milliamp-hours charging over USB-C. Holding the button lifts it to turbo and releasing it drops back, which is how a signal is sent without changing the working level. The AL6061-T6 body is hard anodised behind thickened tempered glass and triple O-rings, rated to 150 metres. It suits a cave or wreck team that would otherwise carry a spot and a flood.
